They start at about $15 and then go up from there depending on what you want on them.
We showed up, a group of 6 kids and 2 adults. We were seated immediately and given top notch service. Mark, the manager/owner was very attentive. The restaurant was very clean and quaint. The food (pizza) tasted fresh and made with quality ingredients. We had a great time.
We were making a trip into San Antonio from Boerne and came across Russo’s online on the way and decided to try it for the first time, We were blown away! The Pizza is amazing! Crispy delicious and so fresh! The Spaghetti and Meat sauce was also superb! My two year old daughter who is usually pretty picky couldn’t get enough!! Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! We will be back again soon!!
First time here and we liked it a lot! Our server was very attentive and nice to us! The food was yummy, loved the spaghetti so much I forgot to take a pic before I dug in. It wasn’t super busy but we got there pretty late on a Friday. We would come back again.
We love Russo’s, they have a dog friendly patio! Unfortunately, many places in The Rim won’t allow dogs even on an outside patio. We have visited this location several times for both inside and outside seating. The service and food have always been excellent! And a big thank you to Mark the General Manager to come outside to check on us and ask if they could bring a bowl of water for our pooch. We had salads this visit and we’ve had their pizza (gluten-free) which was delicious!
The pizza is pretty good and the pizza chef was friendly. However the water tasted strange (not good) and the there was only one waiter for the whole restaurant, so service was slow and I saw both pizza and pasta dishes sit (getting cold) before being delivered and tables of people wait to be seated, take orders, or get a check. The place is poorly managed and not worth going to with so many other restaurants in the area.
Can't say what our experience was like. I agree with other reviews about this place closing soon. We stopped by on our way out of town. There were only 3 or 5 tables with customers, so we thought we got lucky and it was a slow night. We waited a few minutes before being sat. After we sat dwn and looked at the menu awhile I started noticing the rest of the tables that were empty were also dirty and hadn't been bussed yet. After 20 min with no acknowledgement and even with my husband calling the waiter over, to which he just looked our way and continued doing what he was doing. We walked out and both waiters looked at us and then looked away without saying a word.
What a warm and wonderful greeting! Such an inviting atmosphere and swift service! All from genuinely kind and sincere people. The gnocchi was amazing!!! My mother loved her carbonara sauce! An absolute must return to and we will try the pizza next! Loved, also, that we were checked on and taken care of, but not bothered or interrupted in any way.
This place is never busy when we come. The service is good, food is somewhat lacking. We started with the calamari, which was really good. Crunchy and good seasoning. I also got the cucumber feta salad which is simple and tasted refreshing. Ordered a simple cheese pizza, it was delicious. My husband ordered the pasta di mare which was disappointing for a higher end dish on the menu. Nothing special about the marinara sauce, and the pasta did not taste freshly-made at all. Freshly made out of a box is more like it. Overall, would recommend their pizza and appetizers, not the overpriced pasta dishes.
No service...not bad service, just no service. We waited long enough to completely read the menu twice and still no one stopped to take our drink order. The restaurant wasn’t busy and there were several empty tables. I noticed the restaurant had no host/hostess and the kitchen manager was seating people; maybe they were understaffed for the evening? We walked out after seeing a waiter walk by us multiple times without stopping.
Went out for dinner with my family to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Everything was good until my food order (Stromboli/Calzone) made its way to the table. It was totally charred. Even our waitress was shocked. She apologized profusely and ordered another one. Unfortunately the second one came back 10% less charred than the previous one but charred nonetheless. 👎🏻 I opted to deal with the second item rather than order something else and wait even longer while the rest of my family waited and let their food get cold. Will think twice about coming back to this place. Disappointed big time. 😠
Very unprofessional executive chef and management even the staff. Very rude on the phone you leave a message for management to call you back and know does if you can't even call back a customer then you don't care about your customers. If I was able to give a 1/2 🌟 I would
Ambient.clean atmosphere...waiter a little slow on drink refills, had to flag down waiter for bread, forgot husbands tea-sweater & lemon had tone & attitude when reminded him. He didn't offer any suggestions on appetizers or food menu...staff members not very inviting....never offered dessert. Otherwise chill, loud & only three other tables in facility with customers...so no reason for long wait. Lasagna slightly burnt, food ok.
We had heard this was a really good place to go and boy were they right! They were extremely busy but we got seated quickly. We had a great waiter who took very good care of us and constantly checked on us. The food came out very quickly for as busy as they were and was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be going back!
Customer service great was my first time she was very helpful about the menu, great food.
The food is amazing, highly recommend it! The interior is very cozy and romantic. Perfect for a date night. Wonderful staff, our server was Ellie and she was quite fantastic!
We went in, not many people. Server very intensely busy not sure why. Ordered calamari, it had an odor and chewy. We left paid and left the entire plate on the table. No questions asked as to why we left it. Had 3 different people come to our table so not really sure who was supposed to be helping us. Would not go again, would not recommend my friends. I shouldn't have paid for such a smelly piece of rubber. Zero stars if I could.
Had garlic knots and mulberry pizza. Everything was delicious. Staff provided great service and would recommend this place
Really good pizza and pasta!! My family loves Italian food and this place became one of their favorites!
What an amazing place we stumbled onto. Everything was great at this location. We were out for my bday & decided to stop by. The service, the food, the portions, and the atmosphere is great. My wife had the eggplant parmesan & I had the lobster ravioli. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The food is good, but the service is a work in progress, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.
I recently visited Italy on vacation and was amazed by the food. When I returned to San Antonio I was on the search for authentic Italian food. My husband and I recently visited Russo’s Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen and were pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our pizza. It was very fresh and the crust was delicious. Mark, the general manager, was very friendly and personable. The staff was also friendly and very attentive. The restaurant was clean and very inviting. We will definitely visit again.
NOT SO GOOD FOOD. Service wasn't there felt like the place wasn't managed good.
We ordered two drafts beers, a bottle of wine, meatball app, and a pizza. Only thing that was good was the wine. The draft beers were horrible could tell the lines havent been properly cleaned. The meatballs tasted old and microwaved. Dry and mushy at the same time 🤦♂️. The pie was decent but definitely not worth the price. Could of had better at dominos or pizza hut. I don't see this place being open for a long time if they dont improve soon. Especially with so many other options in the area
Great food and atmosphere, the service was awesome! We had the meatballs, lasagna, and a pizza. Everything was delicious!!!
I went in excited to try this restaurant but walked away pretty disappointed. The booths were very narrow and the table was wobbly. The pizza came out 10 minutes before the pastas did and the Picatta did not taste good at all. It could have been an off night but all the neighboring restaurants were packed and Russos was almost empty. That should have been a pretty clear sign. I won’t be back.
The pasta and the chocolate cake was good. The free garlic bread was good as well. Noce place overall.
Our waitress Lahana was excellent! She was very pleasant and attentive, she made sure our glasses stayed full. When the food came to our table, she checked to make sure we were satisfied. She informed us of the specials and after learning of a nut allergy at our table, she showed us the nut free options. She really has GREAT customer service skills and made our lunch that much more enjoyable!
Mark from Russo's was an incredible help to our company in helping us serve over 280 employees! Providing amazing and helpful service, Mark helped our Volunteer Council team set up the order and demonstrate serving sizes to help us maximize our order and experience. The food was incredible and left everyone feeling happy and full!We are so incredibly pleased with the service and we will definitely be calling again for our next big lunch!-A.Flint, Pape-Dawson Engineers
Worst experience ever. Placed a $100 order online & after an hour when arriving the hostess handed me a pasta & said have a nice day without first checking on the order. After being told we had a pizza & a few other sides he looked confused & said the full order did not appear. I get it, stuff happens but how do you confirm a $100 order & not wonder why only a pasta showed up, worst thing is even the receipt showed it. Best thing they can do is call the customer. COMMON SENSE. Waited over 2+ hours for such bad service.
I've lived in Italy for two years.. the food reminds me close to it.. amazing atmosphere and what makes it best is the friendly staff that goes along with it.. if you actually know Italian food I'd say give it a try! Definitely say a good hello to Lahana!
Our waiter Julian was awesome!!! Restaurant is clean and friendly service 👍
Takes a while to get the food but it is priced well for what you get. Wife's dish was hot but my noodles were cold when our food came out.
Terrible customer service probably the reason it’s the only restaurant at the Rim with no business!I assure you it will be closing soon because the management is non existent. We went last night and were ignored at the door ( no hostess) after standing there looking like morons for ten minutes we decided to sit at the bar and again ignored (no bartender) we finally ordered a pizza and 50 min later were told the order was no put in .I threw a $20 on the bar and walked out.
Our waitress was actually also a prep cook for the kitchen and was very informative on where the ingredients come from and how fresh they are (they get fresh produce every day). Not to mention the pizza was very worth the higher price tag. Would go again!
I liked pretty much everything about this place. The atmosphere is bright and warm and the style has a rat pack 40s/50s style while being modern. The staff was quick and attentive. The wife and I started with the fried calamari and it was the perfect and a good predicter for the rest of the meal. For the entree I got the Tortellaci which is just raviolis stuffed with braised beef and veal. It was fantastic and I could stopdipping the bread in the cream sauce. The wife got the Gnocci al pesto and liked it. I tried the pesto as well and it had deep pesto flavor that I love. We finished off with the tarimisu that lacked in presentation but was also good. And all that only came to 60ish bucks out the door. Highly recommend.
Good salad and pizza a bit oily but tasty.
Great food and atmosphere. Our waiter Jonathan was knowledgeable, helpful, and very personable. I had the New York Pizza and loved it, my wife had the Calamari, Nonna's eggplant and thought it was excellent. For dessert we split there chocolate cake and it was superb. We had a great dinner.
We had great service and the baked ziti and terimisu was amazing!
Love Russo’s! A very special Thanks to Russo’s from Stumpy’ Hatchet House San Antonio. We had an amazing Fundraiser for a family in need and Russo’s came through for us this past weekend. Everyone raved about their pizzas. They were cut to feed an army and everyone continued to ask where Russo’s was and how they could get there. So glad we had your menus on hand! Great job Russo’s! I personally eat there and always love the food and atmosphere. Your customer service is 1st class and your greeters are always very friendly. I look forward to our next catering event!
My family and I made reservations for Valentine's Day as a huge group of 13. We had several in our party who were going to be upwards of an hour late and the General Manager Kalia was extremely warm and accommodating from the beginning! Our server Lahana was exceptional adding to the overall amazing experience. The food was outstanding on top of all the great service. We had pizza, appetizers, and pasta and it was all wonderful! I would highly recommend Russo's! Thank you for helping to make our night memorable!
It was good. Great bread, mozzarella sticks. Delicious pizza and great service.
Just visited Russo's for the first time and had a wonderful meal. When we arrived we were seated promptly and all of the staff was friendly. Our server, John, was fantastically attentive. Ordered many great choices with Tomato Basil Soup (awesome), crostini with prosciutto and fig (amazing), spaghetti and meatballs (wonderful), fritti and garlic knots (melt in your mouth, and the highlight of the meal - chicken wings (succulent). My father wats chicken wings on all travels around the world and touts these as "the best he has ever had".The meal was finished with a fantastic sampling of chocolate cake and carrot cake. OMG so decadent. Only thing better than the meal was John's service. Thank you to the entire team, John and GM Calia Thomas for a great time. We will definitely be back.
I highly recommend the Baked Ziti! So cheesy and delicious 😋 the best I’ve tried in San Antonio hands down!
This place is awesome!!! I have enjoyed everything that I have ordered. We have been there about 4 or 5 times now. I recommend their new england clam chowder. It's my favorite. Staff is always nice and helpful. It's also a popular spot so be prepared to wait, depending on the time you go. So far the longest we've had to wait was about 30 mins, but it is worth it
Are you craving Italian food but tired of Olive Garden? If so, you must try this restaurant. My fiance' took me on a date to the place and the food was scrumptious!!! The service and overall ambiance was suitable. They have wine selections and all the pasta you could think of. I'm definitely coming back; make sure to bring your appetite.
Food was so good! Very fresh
Awesome place! Not sure why it isn't packed on a Friday night. Started with the fried cauliflower appetizer and was plesantly surprised. I got the lasagna which was great and my wife got the chicken avacado salad. Chicken was a little dry but not bad so need to work on that. Ended with the carrot cake which was good also. Server Bryan was excellent and very attentive to our needs. Receptionist up front was fun and full of energy. Will definitely go back.
Usually better than three stars but the crusty was overdone and they made one of the pizza incorrectly
